Solr – IOException occured when talking to server at: http://localhost:8983/solr

Problem Symptom: When you are performing indexing from backoffice, you will see the following error.

Resolution:

  1. In Solr.impex file, Change the endpoint URL to https instead of http.solr-endpoint
  2. Run the solr.impex from hac or perform system update for *initialdata extension.
  3. Re-start the indexer from back office.
